It was 70 years ago this spring…

Under a grove of pine trees, Harold and Margaret Hall joined four octagon-shaped POW guard houses from Camp Atterbury to form a road-side restaurant serving locals and hungry travelers on US 31. Over the decades, people have enjoyed our scratch cooked buffet and salad bar. Now we find ourselves in a changing world. On short notice, we have to reformat our restaurant and turn the clock back some 45 years. With the current health restrictions, we have to change the service we provide for our guests. In order to re-open our restaurant to the public, we have to abandon our buffet, salad bar, and dessert bar. By government mandate, they simply are not allowed at this time. So… we have chosen several of our popular offerings and upon re-opening, The Pines will be offering a sit-down menu with plated entrees and family-style sides. You will see familiar offerings and maybe a few new ones. We value your continued support and together we will get through these trying times.

Thanks, and we hope to see you soon!
